The memory available for mods is a little misleading. Both MODS and S3M's keep their data in a somewhat compressed format which is expanded by the VAT sound engine for convenience and speed. The more channels a mod or S3M has, the bigger the expansion. You can usually expect a 20-30% increase in size when a module is playing. ie: a 100Kb S3M will really require about 120-130Kb to play.
1.22 comes with a shortcut file for use with windows 95. You'll have to edit it to make sure it points to the right executable and icon, but I've altered the settings in the shortcut so that you don't get that warning all the time. Otherwise, I just use the key sequence "right-arrow, enter, enter" to get back into the game. ;)
Here are some general points to know about scoring:
Yes, but you might have to play with a few settings. I've included a .pif file with EITtris version 1.22. This pif has DOS mode settings that should be optimal for EITtris. The instructions for installing it are in the readme.txt file.
Also, you may have to make sure that you don't have any other apps using the Sound Card. (A volume control interface would be an example of this.) If all else fails, try editing the .cfg file for EITtris and turn off Sound Blaster sound.
No. The strange colors are caused by a special piece called the "psycho". The effect will go away when you get an antidote. EIT!
Eventually. Right now, I am ready to take a break for a while from coding on this game. The network version will be out one day though, and it will probably be a Win95 game. (Check the home page for news on the next version.)
